Role Description The Health Promotion Senior is a part-time, hybrid role based in Healesville, VIC. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating health promotion initiatives that respond to local community needs and align with Eastern Health’s strategic priorities. Day-to-day tasks include designing evidence-based health education programs, coordinating community outreach activities, building partnerships with local organizations, and facilitating workshops or group sessions.

The Health Promotion

Senior collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, collects and analyses data to measure program impact, prepares reports and communications materials,



and ensures that all activities reflect Eastern Health’s values and quality standards. The role also involves advocating for health equity, supporting community capacity-building, and contributing to continuous improvement of health promotion practices.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in health promotion, public health, or community health program design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Experience in community engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and partnership development with diverse populations.
- Robust communication skills, including facilitation, presentation, and preparation of clear written materials and reports.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, and managing multiple projects, with sound time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to use data and evidence to inform practice, including basic research, data collection, and interpretation of health-related information.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Understanding of health equity, culturally safe practice, and working with communities with varied backgrounds and needs.
- Experience within a public health or community service setting is highly regarded; previous work in rural or regional communities is an advantage.
- Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams, aligned with Eastern Health’s values and quality standards.
