About the Role

Applus+ is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HSEQ Advisor to support a major Oil & Gas client contract, while also contributing to broader corporate HSEQ activities. This role suits someone who thrives working autonomously, builds strong relationships across teams, and provides practical, solutions-focused HSEQ support in a fast-paced operational environment. Previous experience within the Oil, Gas, or Energy sectors will be highly regarded.

As a Senior HSEQ Advisor at Applus+, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with internal and client HSE standards, supporting frontline teams, and driving continuous improvement across safety, health, environment, and quality outcomes. From delivering HSE initiatives and conducting gap analyses to supporting fatigue and heat stress management programs, you will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, high-performing workplace.

Duties include:

- Ensure compliance with company, client, and statutory HSEQ requirements
- Provide practical HSEQ advice and support to managers, supervisors, and field personnel
- Deliver RTW (Return to Work) toolboxes and key HSE communications
- Support and monitor critical risk controls, including fatigue management and heat stress programs
- Manage incident processes, including reporting, investigation, and close-out of corrective actions
- Engage with client HSEQ stakeholders and support leadership initiatives
- Conduct gap analyses and drive continuous improvement across HSEQ systems and processes
- Maintain a strong site presence through field visits, pre-starts, and safety interactions
- Complete weekly and monthly HSEQ reporting
- Support internal and external audits (e.g. NATA, IRATA,



electrical and vehicle compliance)
- Maintain and improve HSEQ documentation, systems, and compliance standards
- Promote a positive safety culture and drive engagement initiatives, including reward and recognition programs

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

- Minimum 5+ years’ HSE experience within mining, construction, civil, or resources environments
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher)
- Strong knowledge of WA WHS Act and Regulations
- Demonstrated experience in audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments
- Ability to influence safe behaviours and engage a diverse workforce
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

Desirable

- ICAM Lead Investigator certification
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- Experience working with Indigenous workforces
- Previous exposure to major resource or infrastructure clients

Additional Information

- Regular site presence required (approximately one week per month) to support and engage with frontline teams, as well as at turnround events.
