We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Governance Specialist to support IT governance, risk, assurance, and compliance activities within a complex public-sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks .
- Execute IT governance and quality assurance activities .
- Collaborate with risk and assurance teams to improve IT risk management .
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of governance frameworks and processes.
- Conduct research and analysis to support governance activities and prepare documentation.
- Develop and maintain governance standards, policies, and procedures .
- Draft and maintain Terms of Reference for governance committees and boards.
- Capture, analyze, administer, and report on IT risks and risk registers .
- Liaise with stakeholders on risk register updates and governance committee actions.
- Coordinate internal audit activities , including reviewing and tracking audit actions.
- Provide advisory support on IT governance and promote effective governance practices.
Must-Have Skills ✔️ 7+ years of IT Governance / Risk / Assurance experience
✔️ Solid IT governance framework experience
✔️ Risk register and risk management expertise
✔️ Governance policy, standards, and procedure development
✔️ Internal audit coordination and action tracking
✔️ Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills
✔️ Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Desirable
⭐ Professional qualifications/certifications in Governance, Risk, Audit, Compliance, or IT
⭐ Experience in Higher Education or complex Public Sector environments
