Future Fulfilment is a third-party logistics business moving millions of orders for hundreds of ecommerce brands through warehouses across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, New Zealand & China. We're growing globally, fast. We're looking for a hands-on CTO to take the wheel of our technology, lead our developers, and build the platforms that carry us into the next stage of growth.

This is a department-head role with real ownership. You'll sit alongside the senior leadership team, translate where the business is going into where the tech needs to be, and make it happen with a small, sharp team.

What you'll do

n

n
- Lead the tech team. Manage, mentor and grow a small team of developers, you will set the roadmap, the standards, and the pace.

- Sit at the leadership table. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders and senior leaders to turn commercial strategy into technical reality.
n
- Own the integration layer. Keep our ecommerce and warehouse ecosystem talking with Shopify, WooCommerce, ShipHero, and the carrier and billing systems that sit around them.

- Build with AI at the core. Put AI tools to work across operations, billing, customer success and internal workflows.
n
- Automate everything worth automating. Design and scale workflow automation that removes manual handling across the business.

- Drive the next iteration. Own the technical vision and the build that takes Future Fulfilment from where we are today to a global-scale platform.

The stack you'll lead

n

n
- Ecommerce & marketplaces: Shopify, WooCommerce, and the wider ecommerce platform landscape
n
- Fulfilment & WMS: ShipHero
n
- Inventory / wholesale / ERP: Indigo8
n
- Automation / iPaaS: n8n (workflow orchestration and integration pipelines)




n
- Data & backend: Supabase / PostgreSQL, APIs and webhooks, cloud infrastructure
n
- AI & developer tooling: Claude Code and agentic/LLM tooling, plus a genuine interest in what's next
n
- Support & comms tooling: Intercom, ClickUp and internal systems that keep our teams connected
n

You don't need to have touched every one of these but you should be the kind of technologist who picks up a current platform quickly and knows how to make disparate systems work as one.

What you bring

- Proven experience leading and managing a technical team, with the people skills to grow one
n
- Strong hands-on background across integrations, automation and modern web/backend tech
n
- Real, practical experience applying AI to solve business problems
n
- Solid understanding of ecommerce and fulfilment platforms and how they connect end to end
n
- The commercial instinct to work directly with senior leaders and make decisions that move the business, not just the codebase
n
- Comfort operating in a young, entrepreneurial, move-fast environment, you're energised by ambiguity and growth, not slowed by it
