As Cognito scales rapidly, we are making our online services and digital tools a strategic priority. To bring this vision to light, we are looking for a driven, full-stack product engineer passionate about building EdTech used by thousands of students.

At Cognito, you won't spend weeks changing the colour of a button or making microscopic build time optimisations. Here, you'll speak to end users directly to build genuinely impactful solutions end-to-end, working closely with some of the brightest, young minds in Sydney.

What you'll do specifically

n

n
- Work closely with our founding engineers, designer, and end users to design, develop, test, and publish technical solutions and web application features end-to-end
n
- Solve high-level business problems by breaking them down into smaller, technical solutions
n
- Work with a combination of modern technologies and frameworks, including Typescript, ReactJS, NodeJS, ExpressJS, Python, and AWS services
n
- Incorporate AI frameworks and tools to enhance the digital services offered at Cognito
n
- Contribute to the technical vision for Cognito in developing meaningful and impactful EdTech products
n

What we're looking for

Must haves

n

n
- Deep passion and love for building awesome products end-to-end
n
- Experience working in a software engineering team
n
- Passion in being an impactful contributor of a small team in its building stage
n

n

Nice to haves

n

n
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in software engineering
n
- Proficiency in ReactJS, NodeJS, and ExpressJS
n
- Curiosity in business strategy and leadership
n
- Proficiency over AWS services such as DynamoDB, Cognito, and S3
n
- Experience with, or understanding of HSC sciences & maths
n
