About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Pizza Maker to join our team at REZZ PTY LTD in Newton, SA. This is a full-time position based on-site at our Newton location.

As Senior Pizza

Maker, you will be instrumental in maintaining and elevating our pizza offerings, demonstrating expertise in traditional and contemporary pizza-making techniques whilst leading and mentoring kitchen staff. This role is central to delivering exceptional culinary experiences and maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook pizzas using traditional and modern techniques, ensuring consistent quality and presentation standards

- Manage pizza station operations, including inventory management, equipment maintenance and cleanliness protocols

- Develop and refine pizza recipes, experimenting with new ingredients, flavours and cooking methods to create innovative menu items

- Train, supervise and mentor junior pizza makers and kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards

- Monitor food costs and portion control to optimise profitability whilst maintaining quality

- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service during peak periods

- Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling procedures and hygiene standards

- Respond to customer feedback and adapt offerings to meet evolving taste preferences

- Manage mise en place preparations and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored

What we're looking for





- Minimum 5+ years' professional experience as a pizza maker in a commercial kitchen environment

- Extensive knowledge of wood-fired and/or traditional pizza-making techniques

- Proven leadership experience with the ability to train, motivate and supervise kitchen staff effectively

- Strong understanding of Italian and contemporary pizza styles, dough fermentation and ingredient quality

- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently during high-volume service periods

- Food Safety Certification or equivalent qualification (or willingness to obtain)

- Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to continuous improvement

- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a warm kitchen environment

- Experience in cost control, inventory management and menu development is highly desirable
