Your new role

As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for providing professional planning advice to internal stakeholders, developers, and the broader community while managing a variety of statutory and strategic planning matters. You will assess development applications, subdivisions, scheme amendments, and land use proposals, prepare reports for Council, conduct site inspections, and support the delivery of planning initiatives and policies.

- Assess development applications, subdivisions, and planning proposals.
- Conduct site inspections and provide planning recommendations.
- Prepare reports and discussion papers for Council and committees.
- Provide planning advice to staff, Councillors, developers, and the community.
- Assist with strategic planning initiatives and policy development.
- Investigate and assess planning scheme amendments.
- Manage planning-related compliance, Crown Land,



and statutory matters

What you'll need to succeed

- Extensive experience in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of Local Planning Schemes, planning legislation, and development assessment processes.
- Experience preparing reports and providing planning advice within a local government or similar environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Town Planning or a similar discipline
- Current C-Class Driver's Licence.
