Are you a commercially astute analyst who thrives on turning complex data into strategic decisions? Do you want to play a pivotal role in one of Australia's most significant energy transformation journeys? We are seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio Analyst to help shape the future of our energy portfolio through sophisticated economic modelling, investment analysis and strategic decision support.

Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Delivery, you will be at the heart of evaluating and prioritising major energy transition opportunities. Working closely with senior leaders across Finance, Trading, Strategy, Asset Management and Operations, you will provide the commercial insights, scenario analysis and portfolio intelligence that support critical investment decisions. This is a unique opportunity to influence transformational projects, guide capital allocation decisions and contribute directly to a sustainable energy future.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Developing and maintaining economic and portfolio models to support investment decisions.
- Conducting financial, commercial and scenario analysis across a range of energy transition opportunities.
- Assessing project viability, portfolio value, risk, affordability and strategic fit.
- Supporting investment gate reviews, business cases and capital allocation decisions.
- Providing insights and recommendations to executive leaders and governance forums.
- Analysing market, operational, regulatory and technology impacts on portfolio performance.
- Performing sensitivity and risk analysis to support long-term planning.
- Collaborating with Finance, Trading, Strategy, Asset Management and project teams.
- Ensuring robust model governance, documentation and quality assurance practices.
- Identifying emerging risks, opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.

ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

- Degree qualifications in any of Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a similar discipline or post graduate qualifications such as MBA or Certified Financial Analyst.
- Extensive experience in financial modelling, commercial analysis, investment assessment or portfolio analytics.
- Strong understanding of investment governance, business case development and capital allocation frameworks.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise.
- Experience within the National Electricity Market (NEM), energy sector, infrastructure, utilities or related industries.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and influence strategic outcomes.
