We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO). In this role, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of strategic projects and transformation initiatives that support MetLife Australia's business objectives and New Frontier strategy. Working closely with the Portfolio Manager, PMO, project sponsors, business leaders and external partners, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, drive business transformation and contribute to the continuous evolution of MetLife Australia's agile delivery capability.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Governance

- Establish and maintain effective project operating rhythms, governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including clearly defined objectives, deliverables, timelines, success measures and accountabilities.
- Manage project execution throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality outcomes.
- Monitor project performance, dependencies, risks and issues, implementing mitigation and contingency plans where required.
- Govern and report on project progress, financial performance, value delivery and expected business perks.

Stakeholder & Client Management
- Partner closely with project sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and timely decision-making.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to drive engagement, support and project success.
- Collaborate with client project managers and external stakeholders to develop and manage joint project plans and governance frameworks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, project teams and business stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Strategy & Transformation
- Contribute to the successful delivery of MetLife Australia's strategic initiatives and transformation programs.
- Support the Portfolio Manager, PMO in portfolio planning, prioritisation and execution activities.
- Provide guidance and expert advice on project impacts, dependencies and portfolio considerations.
- Champion continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies, governance practices and execution disciplines.

Leadership & Collaboration
- Contribute to a high-performing PMO environment by collaborating effectively with project managers,



business analysts and subject matter experts.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous learning.
- Promote MetLife Australia's agile delivery approach and support the evolution of digital capabilities across the business.
- Encourage innovation and the effective use of technology to improve project outcomes and business performance.

Required Qualifications

Experience

- Minimum 5 years' experience in project and portfolio delivery within the life insurance, superannuation or broader financial services industry.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex business transformation or integration projects.
- Experience working with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation.
- Robust experience managing project governance, financials, risks, dependencies and reporting.
- Experience partnering with clients or external organisations to deliver shared project outcomes.
- Strong understanding of life insurance, superannuation, corporate employer and adviser environments.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
- Understanding of technology platforms, systems and digital transformation initiatives within regulated industries.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Technology or a related discipline.
- Recognised Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) and/or Agile certification.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and Project.

Technology & AI Capability
- Demonstrated ability to utilise AI-enabled productivity tools and digital technologies to enhance project planning, stakeholder communication, reporting, governance and decision-making.
- Commitment to continuously developing digital capability and leveraging emerging technologies to improve business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience leading large-scale transformation or integration programs.
- Recent experience influencing and communicating with senior executives and leadership teams.
- Strong understanding of business functions, technology infrastructure and systems design principles.
- Experience working within agile delivery environments at scale.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools to support project planning, governance reporting, risk management,



dependency management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience within the life insurance or wealth management sectors is highly regarded.
