One of our State Government Clients is seeking to engage a Senior Project Officer (Mining & Geology)

1. Contract Duration: ASAP to 30th June 2027
2. Work Location: Townsville or Brisbane (Townsville-based candidates prioritised)
3. Eligibility: You must need to have Australian Full Working Rights
4. Tentative Start Date: ASAP
5. Budget: $79/ Hour + Super
6. Working Hours: 36.25 hrs/Week = 7.25 hours/day, Mon–Fri (between 6 am – 6 pm).

Overview: Department is seeking a Senior Project Officer with experience in project management, procurement, stakeholder engagement, technical/geological assessments, data collation and project scheduling.

The role requires remote field work and travel across QLD, including overnight stays, and physical fitness for challenging terrain.

Essential Criteria

- Current open C class driver licence – mandatory
- Project management,



procurement and stakeholder engagement experience
- Technical/geological assessment and project scheduling experience
- Ability to undertake remote field work and travel across QLD
- Physical fitness for field-based work

Desirable Criteria

- Tertiary qualification in geology, science, engineering or related technical discipline
- Mining/resources industry experience
- Project management qualifications
