CloudMarc is an Australian specialist consultancy delivering Quality Engineering, test automation, cloud and digital-transformation services to leading enterprise organisations. We are looking for experienced Quality Engineers to support a major Australian enterprise client across customer-facing digital platforms.
This is a hands-on Quality Engineering role focused on customer-facing mobile applications. You will combine strong functional and exploratory testing with practical mobile and API automation, working closely with developers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
What you will be doing
Design and execute risk-based mobile test coverage for stories, features and releases.
Perform functional, exploratory, regression, integration and end-to-end app testing.
Develop and maintain reliable mobile UI and API automated tests.
Identify requirement gaps, device and platform risks, edge cases and customer-impact issues early.
Collaborate with developers on testability, acceptance criteria, debugging and automation coverage.
Support defect triage, root-cause analysis, test data, environments and release readiness.
Contribute to broader end-to-end initiatives spanning mobile apps, APIs and connected systems.
What we are looking for
Strong hands-on testing experience across iOS and/or Android applications.
Practical mobile automation development experience using a modern framework.
Strong API and integration testing knowledge.
Strong functional, exploratory and regression testing capability.
Experience designing risk-based coverage and investigating complex defects.
Ability to develop readable, maintainable and reusable automated tests.
Experience collaborating directly with developers in an agile engineering environment.
Highly desirable
Java coding experience.
Accessibility and visual-regression testing for customer-facing apps.
CI/CD and shift-left mobile quality practices.
Retail, e-commerce or other high-volume mobile platform experience.
The Quality Engineering mindset
CloudMarc is looking for Quality Engineers who are comfortable moving between functional testing, exploratory testing and automation. Effective automation is more than writing scripts: it requires selecting the right scenarios, producing maintainable and reusable solutions, and ensuring automated coverage delivers genuine value to engineering and delivery teams.
The process includes an initial Talent Team screen, a CloudMarc interview and a final client interview.
