Role Purpose

As Senior Sales/Business Development Manager, you will take the lead in originating, driving and securing new business opportunities in Western Australia. With a focus on large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, the role will see you build a robust project and partnership pipeline, supporting investments from early development through to financial close and contributing to the company's long-term energy transition strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and originate business opportunities in renewable and resource energy sectors.

- Analyse competitor landscape, technology trends, and policy developments impacting renewable investments

- Lead opportunity from early-stage negotiations through to investment approval, commercial and financial close

- Manage and oversee the end-to-end bid and proposal process, managing cross-functional teams, overseeing and reviewing all bids, and leading the submission of competitive proposals.

- Compile, edit, and proof read commercial proposals which contain technical content and designs ensuring that these are presented in a professional and concise manner.

- Ensure the proposal of a pricing structure that will maximize the winning potential for a bid while ensuring that the required project profitability targets are met.

- Develop and ensure execution of all necessary bid and proposal procedures, governance, and processes in order to ensure consistent approaches are applied across

- Arrange all post bid reviews, as well as post contract award clarifications

- Work with the internal team assisting with financial modelling, valuation,



risk assessment, and return optimization

- Act as the first point of contact for the client, and liaise with main EPC contractor and sub-contractors.

- Build strategic partnerships with developers, utilities, equipment suppliers, investors, and public authorities

- Represent the company in high-level negotiations, consortiums, and industry forums

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Finance, Economics, or Business

- MBA or Master’s degree in Energy or Finance is an advantage

Experience

- 8–12+ years of experience in energy, renewables, power generation, or infrastructure development

- Experienced in large-scale battery energy storage systems

- Proven track record in developing and closing large scale renewable or infrastructure projects in Western Australia
- An established local network across energy, EPC and related stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and power markets

- Solid financial and commercial acumen, including project finance fundamentals

- Ability to structure complex multi-party transactions

- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to influence senior executives, partners, and public stakeholders

- Comfortable working across multicultural and matrix organizations
