Are you an experienced paediatric Speech Pathologist who loves clinical work, but is ready for something more?
Perhaps you've reached the point in your career where you still want to work directly with children and families, but you'd also love the opportunity to mentor younger clinicians, contribute to clinical decision-making and take the next step towards leadership.
Nash Speech Pathology may be the right next step for you.
We're an established speech pathology practice in Sydney's Inner West, with clinics in Drummoyne and Gladesville and strong relationships with local schools and preschools/early childhood education settings.
As our team continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist to join us in a senior clinical role.
This isn't about stepping away from clinical work. It's about combining a caseload you enjoy with the opportunity to have a broader impact across a team.
The role
Your week will include a mix of clinical work and senior responsibilities, which may include:
- Providing high-quality assessment and intervention to a varied caseload (mostly paediatric)
- Mentoring and supporting junior Speech Pathologists
- Providing clinical supervision and case support
- Helping clinicians work through more complex cases
- Supporting new team members as they settle into the practice
- Contributing to clinical resources, professional development and service improvement
- Opportunities to supervise university students
- Working collaboratively with our Director and senior team
- Building your own leadership skills as the role develops
We're open to shaping the leadership component around the strengths and interests of the right person.
Who we're looking for
Ideally, you'll have at least 3 years' experience as a Speech Pathologist, with solid clinical skills.
You might already be working in a senior or supervisory position, or you might be an experienced clinician who knows you're ready for that next step.
We're particularly interested in someone who:
- genuinely enjoys working with children and families
- is confident clinically and values evidence-based practice
- enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting other clinicians
- is approachable, collaborative and a great communicator
- values high-quality therapy over simply meeting numbers
- wants to contribute to a team and practice over the longer term
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in Speech Pathology
- Certified Practising Membership (or eligibility) of Speech Pathology Australia
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a car
- A current Working with Children Check
Why Nash? Nash has been part of the Inner West community for nine years, and we're incredibly proud of the practice we've built.
You'll be joining an established team with:
- a strong existing referral network and caseload
- experienced clinicians to collaborate with
- excellent administrative support
- established relationships with local schools and preschools
- opportunities to work across clinic, school and preschool settings
- regular professional development and clinical collaboration
- opportunities for mentoring, supervision and leadership
- a genuinely friendly, supportive team culture
- flexibility around working arrangements for the right person
We want our clinicians to enjoy coming to work, feel supported and have the time and resources to do their jobs well. Salary & hours
$90,000–$120,000 + superannuation, depending on experience and the scope of the role.
Full-time or part-time arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
We are happy to have a conversation about what would make the role work for an experienced clinician looking for their next long-term position.
Interested?
If this sounds like the kind of next step you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
Send through your CV and a short introduction telling us a little about you, your experience and what you're looking for in your next role.
Don't meet every single point above?
If you're an experienced Speech Pathologist and the role sounds like a great fit, we'd still encourage you to get in touch. Finding the right person for our team matters more to us than ticking every box.
