An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineering consultancy leader to oversee a multidisciplinary team of more than 80 engineers, project managers and technical professionals.

Working with longstanding Tier 1 clients across the energy, oil & gas and mining sectors, this highly respected consultancy delivers commercially practical, high-quality engineering solutions. The Role

The Operations Manager will lead and optimise the delivery of multidisciplinary projects across the energy, oil & gas and mining sectors.

Key accountabilities include:

- Safe and reliable project delivery
- Operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Commercial performance and profitability
- Client engagement and relationship management
- Resource planning and utilisation
- Quality, risk and project controls governance

Combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in major projects and tenders, the role will strengthen project performance, improve operational efficiency and support sustainable business growth.
The position will drive delivery excellence through improved project controls, quality assurance, resource optimisation and best-practice operational processes. It will also play a key role in increasing tender success rates, securing new opportunities and further strengthening client relationships.

About You

You are an experienced consultancy leader with exceptional people leadership skills, strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated track record of building profitable teams and businesses.
You will be able to demonstrate success in:





- Leading and growing multidisciplinary consulting teams
- Managing a consultancy P&L; with sustained year-on-year growth
- Implementing systems and processes that improve project delivery performance
- Improving tender efficiency, win rates and business development outcomes

You are a leader who inspires and develops people while providing the clarity, structure and accountability required to achieve exceptional results.
You communicate strategy effectively, align resources, establish clear expectations and create an setting where people are empowered to perform at their best. Your leadership style is disciplined, fair, collaborative and accountable.

Experience and Attributes

Whilst experience within the energy and resources sector, established industry networks and exposure to offshore engineering delivery models would be advantageous, the priority is to recruit an ambitious, commercially astute leader with a proven ability to grow profitable consultancy operations.
