About the role

The Kitchen Porter plays a critical support role within GOTHAM, ensuring the kitchen, bar and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and safety. This casual role supports chefs and service staff during daily operations while helping create an efficient workplace that enables exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, back-of-house and storage areas

- Wash, sanitise and store kitchen utensils, cookware and food preparation equipment

- Operate and maintain dishwashing and glass washing equipment

- Remove waste and recycling and maintain waste disposal areas

- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and ingredient preparation

- Support stock rotation and storage procedures

- Receive, unpack and store deliveries

- Clear and reset tables during service periods

- Collect, clean and restock glassware

- Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures

About you





- No previous hospitality experience required

- Proficiency in spoken English

- Ability to work evenings and weekends

- Ability to lift and carry items greater than 12kg safely

- Ability to stand for extended periods

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Reliable and punctual

- Strong attention to detail

- Works collaboratively as part of a team

- Able to remain calm and productive in a busy environment

Details

- Casual position

- Approximately 20 hours per week

- Typical shifts: Thursday to Saturday, 5:00pm to Midnight

- Immediate start available
