This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to coordinate and support the delivery of the MRFF-funded PACE-RURAL clinical trial across Cairns and surrounding communities. Working within a large and progressive Physiotherapy Service, you will lead high-level research activities, provide expert advice in clinical research and trial coordination, and contribute to improving health outcomes for rural and regional populations through innovative, evidence-based practice. About us:
The Physiotherapy Service at Cairns Hospital is a large and progressive regional service comprising approximately 73 Physiotherapy and Allied Health Assistant positions across Cairns Hospital, Oregon Street Campus and Gordonvale Memorial Hospital. We deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient care across a broad range of specialties, including emergency, critical care, rehabilitation, orthopaedics, oncology, paediatrics, women's health, neurology and cardiovascular services, supporting patients throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) and the Cape York and Torres Strait regions.

About you:
In your new role you will....
- Manage research tasks using effective time management and prioritisation skills, including clinical and non-clinical responsibilities and the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in research/clinical trial monitoring and auditing internally and externally as required to meet regulatory and scientific requirements.
- Demonstrates communication skill in disseminating research findings and reports to stakeholders on individual research projects.
- Work within and monitor standards of care in the defined research/clinical trial protocol, standard operating procedures and practice guidelines for research/clinical trials, hospital policies and procedures to ensure safe and high-quality research completion.
