People Services Branch is seeking experienced, professional, high performing and motivated APS6 human resources specialists to support the Workplace Relations and HR Strategy functions. These roles require strong judgement, sound technical capability and the ability to provide practical, risk-based advice on complex people matters in an APS setting across a number of vacancies.

The Workplace Relations Team provides specialist advice and case management support across employment matters including performance and conduct, workplace complaints, enterprise agreement and policy interpretation, union consultation, reviews of employment-related actions, employment conditions, and policy review and development.

The HR Strategy Team provides specialist support in enterprise workforce planning, census, change management, committee secretariat, bargaining and strategic alignment across the department. The team are responsible for translating organisational goals into people-focused strategies delivering initiatives that support the workforce.

In these roles, you will utilise your technical HR skills to support employee engagement and retention and deliver positive outcomes in workplace matters. All roles form part of a professional HR function, contributing to manager capability development, continuous improvement in HR processes, effective governance, and a positive workplace culture.

The key duties of the position include:

- provide timely,



accurate and practical HR advice to managers and employees on employment conditions, people policies, Enterprise Agreement provisions and relevant legislation
- interpret and apply legislation, industrial instruments, policies and frameworks to support sound, risk-based decision making across a range of workforce and employment matters

- contribute to strategic people initiatives, including workforce planning, change management, bargaining activities, employee engagement and organisational improvement programs
- prepare high-quality written products including briefs, reports, correspondence, submissions, committee papers and recommendations for a range of stakeholders.
