Imatech Joinery Services Pty Ltd is a well-established, Australian-owned joinery business based in Hobart, Tasmania. We specialise in high-quality bespoke and heritage timber joinery, delivering premium outcomes across residential, commercial and restoration projects.
Our Cambridge facility combines traditional joinery expertise with modern manufacturing technology, including advanced 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery and a BIESSE edge bander, allowing us to manufacture a broad range of quality custom joinery.
At Imatech Joinery Services, we take pride in our workmanship and provide our people with a safe, well-equipped setting where they can put their skills to use and continue developing their experience.

This is not a general labouring position.
We are looking for people who already have practical skills and industry exposure within joinery, cabinetry, kitchen manufacturing, carpentry or a similar trade environment.
You don't need to be a qualified tradesperson, but you will need to be comfortable working with tools, machinery and timber/cabinetry products and, importantly, willing to work alongside and assist our qualified tradespeople as part of the workshop team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the manufacture and assembly of kitchens, cabinetry and other joinery products
- Operate CNC machinery and other workshop equipment, with appropriate training provided where required
- Assemble cabinets, kitchen components and associated joinery
- Prepare, measure and handle timber, board and other materials
- Use hand and power tools safely and confidently
- Read and follow plans, measurements and production requirements
- Assist with edging, drilling, fitting and preparation of cabinetry components
- Check completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Work alongside and assist qualified Timber/Cabinetry Joiners with day-to-day workshop activities
- Assist with onsite installation work from time to time as required
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous hands-on industry experience in joinery, cabinetry, kitchen manufacturing, carpentry or a similar trade setting
- Practical joinery and/or carpentry skills and experience working with timber or board products
- Confidence using a range of hand and power tools
- A genuine willingness to work alongside and assist qualified tradespeople
- Good practical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow plans,
measurements and instructions accurately
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- A reliable, proactive and team-focused approach
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
Experience with CNC machinery, kitchen or cabinet assembly, or other joinery workshop machinery will be highly regarded.
A White Card, forklift licence or other relevant industry tickets will also be highly regarded.
A formal trade qualification is not required; however, applicants must have relevant industry exposure and existing practical skills within joinery, cabinetry, carpentry or a similar field.
