SPOT Paediatrics is a passionate team of speech pathologists and occupational therapists based in Hove and operates throughout the southern area of Adelaide. We are a team with a shared purpose, and that support one another in our professional roles. We are on the lookout for a driven team leader ready to invest in making a meaningful contribution to our team and the way we deliver supports.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a dedicated, driven and compassionate clinician who loves the work they do and is committed to implementing neuro-affirming practices and best practice in Early Intervention. The successful candidate will have prior experience and training in leadership, have strong clinical expertise across their scope of practice specific to their discipline, has experience providing clinical supervision and mentoring, and has an internal drive for developing leadership skills outside of formal opportunities.

The work we do is predominantly clinic-based, but expanding more to community based settings for delivery of preschool boost supports, collaboration with local organisations, and individualised teacher supports through observations and discussions for our clinic based clients.

Our team invest in providing neuro-affirming, evidence based supports, and working collaboratively with caregivers. We offer group therapy across school holidays and joint therapy for complex clients.

The role will involve a mix of community and clinic based work, and provision of discipline specific clinical supervision,



and requires a willingness to innovate and grow with our clinic, helping to develop and expand our services across this next 12 months.

A Typical Day or Week May Include but is Not Limited To

- Running and supporting career development within our team of speech pathologists and occupational therapists in regular team meetings and professional development sessions

- Providing clinical supervision for discipline specific team members, and mentoring across the team

- Responsible for managing clinician performance and upholding a high standard of supports delivered, which may involve regular reviews of reports and workload, having productive conversations to support each clinicians growth, development and wellbeing, and supporting team members with complex clients

- Improvement of processes and documents which may include template review and development, and identifying opportunities for improving inefficiencies

- Responsibilities managing resource and professional development purchases for clinical teams

- Liaising closely with reception and administration to support a smooth client journey

- Providing therapy for children alongside support and coaching for caregivers for skill development

- Conducting therapy with a full cupboard of resources and a large, shared resource room

- Providing off-site service delivery for individualised supports, educator support, training and coaching

- Collaborating with occupational therapists or speech pathologists for joint therapy sessions and shared clients

- Completing documentation in a timely manner (notes, reports, letters, NDIS documentation)



and managing competing priorities of the team and clients

- Managing a mixed caseload with the flexibility to work from home during school holidays where the opportunity arises

- Dedicated time to carry out leadership duties and support the team and growth of the practice

Our New Team Member Will Ideally Have

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy (Bachelor or Masters Degree)

- SPA or AHPRA membership

- Current Working with Children Check

- Current NDIS Worker Check

- Current driver's license

- Current First Aid Certification

- Strong collaboration and communication skills

- Proven leadership and supervision experience

- A commitment to self-leadership and continuous learning

- Paediatric speech pathology or occupational therapy experience in a private practice setting

- Australian permanent residency status required
