The need-to-know…
As an aged care Support Worker at Rise’s Milperra Cottage (Mount Helena), you will provide relief care to our older recipients within our charming cottage environment with three bedrooms. Your care will overall contribute to aged care clients being able to stay within their home and/or the community for as long as possible. You will provide essential support with daily activities, including mealtime support, personal care, medication assistance, companionship, positive conversation and other services to ensure comfort, well-being, dignity & respect.
Please note: We have two permanent, part-time positions available, working the set shift patterns below. Please only apply if you can commit long-term to at least one of the shift patterns. When applying, indicate in the availability section whether your preference is Option 1, Option 2, or if you can work either pattern.
OPTION 1 (56.25 hours per fortnight)
Week One
Monday (night shift) 22:15 – 07:15 / Friday (afternoon shift) 15:45 – 22:30 / Saturday (afternoon shift) 15:45 – 22:30 / Sunday (afternoon shift) 15:45 – 22:30
Week Two
Monday (night shift) 22:15 – 07:15 / Tuesday (night shift) 22:15 – 07:15 / Friday (day shift) 07:00 – 16:00
OPTION 2 (47.25 hours per fortnight)
Week One
Tuesday (night shift) 22:15 – 07:15 / Wednesday (night shift) 22:15 – 07:15 / Friday (day shift) 07:00 – 16:00
Week Two
Tuesday (afternoon shift) 15:45 – 22:30 / Saturday (afternoon shift) 15:45 – 22:30 / Sunday (afternoon shift) 15:45 – 22:30

Certificate III in Community Services and/or relevant experience Experience working with dementia clients (desirable)Natural ability to work well with people who are aged and build supportive/engaging relationships Ability to manage own time and use initiativeValid driver’s licenceFirst aid and CPR training (HLTAID011 & HLTAID009) or willingness to obtain

Appointments to this position will be subject to a national police clearance. Costs for recent checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
