About the RoleApplus+ is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HSEQ Advisor to support a major Oil & Gas client contract, while also contributing to broader corporate HSEQ activities. This role suits someone who thrives working autonomously, builds strong relationships across teams, and provides practical, solutions-focused HSEQ support in a fast-paced operational environment. Previous experience within the Oil, Gas, or Energy sectors will be highly regarded.
As a Senior HSEQ Advisor at Applus+, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with internal and client HSE standards, supporting frontline teams, and driving continuous improvement across safety, health, environment, and quality outcomes. From delivering HSE initiatives and conducting gap analyses to supporting fatigue and heat stress management programs, you will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, high-performing workplace.
Duties include:Ensure compliance with company, client, and statutory HSEQ requirementsProvide practical HSEQ advice and support to managers, supervisors, and field personnelDeliver RTW (Return to Work) toolboxes and key HSE communicationsSupport and monitor critical risk controls, including fatigue management and heat stress programsManage incident processes, including reporting, investigation, and close-out of corrective actionsEngage with client HSEQ stakeholders and support leadership initiativesConduct gap analyses and drive continuous improvement across HSEQ systems and processesMaintain a strong site presence through field visits, pre-starts, and safety interactionsComplete weekly and monthly HSEQ reportingSupport internal and external audits (e.g. NATA, IRATA,



electrical and vehicle compliance)Maintain and improve HSEQ documentation, systems, and compliance standardsPromote a positive safety culture and drive engagement initiatives, including reward and recognition programs
Skills, Experience & QualificationsEssentialMinimum 5+ years’ HSE experience within mining, construction, civil, or resources environmentsCurrent First Aid CertificateCertificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher)Strong knowledge of WA WHS Act and RegulationsDemonstrated experience in audits, incident investigations, and risk assessmentsAbility to influence safe behaviours and engage a diverse workforceValid Driver’s LicenceAbility to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
DesirableICAM Lead Investigator certificationCertificate IV in Training & AssessmentExperience working with Indigenous workforcesPrevious exposure to major resource or infrastructure clients
Additional InformationRegular site presence required (approximately one week per month) to support and engage with frontline teams, as well as at turnround events.
