A highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate/Intermediate Accountant role to help support the Director/Senior Accountant at a boutique Chartered Accounting Public Practice providing confidential tax and accounting advice and services to small-medium businesses and high net wealth clients.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting senior accountant to complete set work
- Preparation of tax returns, BAS/PAYG W and financial reports in a timely manner for all entity types
- Preparation of various other financial information as required by clients (such as STP processing and finalisation, TPAR lodgements, long service corporation returns, payroll tax, land tax, budgets, and tax planning)
- Regularly reviewing workflow system and making updates and improvements where necessary
- Weekly reconciliation of client records through accounting software such as Xero or MYOB
- Liaise with the ATO, ASIC, Revenue NSW and other government bodies regarding client financial matters
About you
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (or near completed)
- Customer service focused:
committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels- written, phone and face-to-face
- Experience in accounting software preferred (Xero, MYOB, Recon, QuickBooks, BGL Simplefund360 and CAS360)
- Experience in Microsoft Office products
- Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members
- Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within the time frame given and carry out administrative duties within the portfolio in an productive and timely manner
