- Fixed Term / Full Time / Parental Leave cover until November 2028
- Salary: $68,997 - $77,554 gross p.a. plus 12% Super
- 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the option of flexitime
- Located at Nowra Administration Building, Bridge Road

About the Role

In this role, you will provide revenue and account administration support, maintain accurate customer and financial records, assist with the processing of Section 603 Certificates, engage with customers regarding accounts and payments, and deliver high-quality customer service while supporting the Water Revenue team. This includes:

- Undertake financial administration actions including but not limited to:
- Creation of current Accounts Receivable accounts
- Invoice creation, sundry debtor account reconciliations, allocations, investigation of charges, conducting adjustments and other consequential financial actions
- Liaise with internal customers within the Group. Undertake account adjustments as directed by internal stakeholders within Council's broader finance teams.
- End of Month reporting
- Administer and prepare direct debit requests

- Undertake database actions, including but not limited to:

- Make database and system configuration adjustments as necessary for the Accounts Receivable system (relating to Shoalhaven Water), including debt recovery coding and customer memo types.
- Undertake verification, audit, data integrity and cleansing of the Accounts Receivable system in respect to customer information, account transactions, account codes and memos to the currency of the current account holder, and other system parameters as required.

- Facilitate customer outcomes, including but not limited to:

- Actively manage unpaid accounts up to referral to the Debt Recovery Officer.
- Negotiate and monitor payment arrangements (up to and including Final Reminder stage) with customers as appropriate, exercising diplomacy, tact and firmness as required
- Issue Reminders, Final Reminders and Statements

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:





- TAFE Certificate IV in Business Administration, or Finance OR relevant experience in a similar role
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
- Experience in the navigation, account reconciliations and adjustments within a large database to extract data, interrogate information and undertake timely revenue actions within narrow time constraints.
- Experience in identifying and resolving conflicting database information.
