Our growing accounting firm in the Blue Mountains is seeking a full-time Intermediate Business Services / Tax Accountant to join our practice.

The Role

You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial and tax compliance work for a variety of clients including individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs.

Your duties will include:

- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns

- Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)

- Working with a range of entity structures including individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs

- Communicating with clients and the ATO when required

About You

The successful candidate will have:





- Minimum 2 years' experience in a business services / tax accounting role within public practice

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills

- Experience using HandiLedger, Xero Practice Manager & Tax and Microsoft Office

- Experience preparing tax returns, BAS and financial statements

- Robust attention to detail and time management skills

- Ability to work independently and take initiative
