About the role

Freight Mart International is seeking a Day Shift Truck Driver to join our growing team based in Bibra Lake, Western Australia. This is a full-time position offering a stable, predictable schedule with day shift hours. As a Day Shift Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the Perth Metropolitan area, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. This role is integral to our operations, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the success of our logistics network.

Key responsibilities

- Operating heavy vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies

- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is roadworthy and reporting any maintenance issues immediately

- Loading, securing and unloading cargo in a safe and timely manner, following proper procedures and weight distribution guidelines

- Planning and executing productive delivery routes whilst meeting scheduled delivery times and customer requirements

- Maintaining accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and vehicle records in compliance with regulatory requirements

- Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and management regarding delivery status and any issues encountered

- Operating to and from the Fremantle Port and all relevant container yards, with both collections and deliveries

- Keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained throughout the working day

What we're looking for

- A valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multiple Combination (MC) driver's licence

- Minimum 2 years' professional truck driving experience in road transport or logistics





- A strong safety record and demonstrated commitment to following road safety regulations and company policies

- Excellent knowledge of Western Australian road networks and ability to navigate using GPS and mapping systems

- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise deliveries and adapt to changing schedules

- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery

- Physical fitness to perform loading and unloading duties and operate heavy vehicles
