About The Role

We are seeking experienced Residential Care Workers / Youth Workers to support young children in a structured residential setting on the Sunshine Coast. This role requires a high level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage complex behaviours while maintaining a secure and nurturing environment.

You will be responsible for providing day-to-day care, implementing care plans, and supporting children with their developmental, emotional, and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, trauma-informed care to children and young peopleSupport daily routines including personal care, meals, education, and activitiesImplement individual care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessmentsManage challenging behaviours using approved strategies and de-escalation techniquesMaintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and progress notesWork collaboratively with families, case managers, and multidisciplinary teamsEnsure compliance with NDIS standards, Child Safety requirements,



and organisational policies

Requirements

Essential Requirements

Demonstrated experience working with children or young people in residential care or similar settings Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour management Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or equivalent) - REQUIRED Diploma level qualifications accepted as an alternative

Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance

Current Police Check issued within the last 3 months

Ability to work shift work, including sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays

Can start immediately
