We're on the lookout for a reliable, hands-on Mobile Hose and Sales Technician (also known as a Hose Fitter, Mechanic, or Field Service Technician) to join our family-operated team at Hydraulink Wangara. No two days are the same in this role — you'll be out on site fixing urgent breakdowns and installs on everything from trucks, trailers, excavators and loaders, to ride-on mowers, bobcats and forklifts. Anything with a hose, we're the ones customers call. If you've already got mechanical experience, we'll teach you the hoses and fittings. This isn't just fix-and-go, either — you'll build and grow your own run of accounts, so customers get peace of mind and call Hydraulink Wangara first.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Manufacturing and installing hydraulic hose assemblies – on site, to a high standard, first time, no return trips.

• Fault finding leaks on the spot – working through problems and getting machines back up and running with minimal downtime.

• Following safety procedures without shortcuts – lockout/tag-out, a genuine Take 5 before starting site work, and reporting hazards and near-misses promptly.

• Getting out and visiting your accounts every week – building genuine relationships, spotting upsells, kit work, wholesale supply, and following every quote through to a result. This is as much a sales role as a service role.





• Keeping your van stocked, clean and presentable inside and out, and staying on top of your inventory and stock sheets.

• Completing all job and sales details in our systems before you leave each job (training provided).

• Liaising with the team, the warehouse and the office throughout the day to keep things moving.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

• Overtime paid for work outside your ordinary hours.

• Current purpose built Work Truck once you're trained as a Mobile Hose and Sales Technician.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• A full manual driver's licence, plus an LR truck licence (or the willingness to get one).

• Solid mechanical aptitude – hose and fitting experience is a bonus, not a must.

• The ability to work autonomously, on your own and unsupervised.

• Good problem-solving skills and a genuine want to help people in their time of need.

• A commitment to working safely and following procedures, on site and in the workshop, no exceptions.

• Outstanding customer service – you're the face of Hydraulink Wangara on site.

• A genuine interest in growing your patch – this is a sales role as much as a service role, not just fixing what's broken.

• Strong numeracy, verbal and written skills, plus basic computer literacy.





• A real work ethic and pride in your workmanship.

• You MUST live in Perth's northern suburbs – this one's non-negotiable. We need quick response times for any after hours breakdowns.
