We are looking for an experienced (min. 5 years), easy going and enthusiastic Loader and Excavator Operator (with Tickets and White Card, or willingly to get) to join our green waste/compost team in Gregadoo, Wagga Wagga.

Duties include:

- Pushing up green waste delivered by incoming trucks

- Using the loader to assist pickers to sort through the green waste

- Loading compost screeners and equipment with organic material

- Driving a little tipper to move compost around on site

- Loading out bound truck and dogs with compost

- Using an excavator to turn windrows of maturing compost

- Cleaning and general maintenance of equipment

- Filling equipment and machinery with fuel and lubricants

- Overseeing junior staff

- Supporting our leading hand and second in charge

- Working in a team

- Communicating with management





Uniform shirts and PPE gear are supplied

Hours are 7am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday including Public Holidays. Over time available.

The successful applicant must have a current drivers license, have own transport to and from site, be able to take directions from management and work well unsupervised. They must be reliable, trustworthy, friendly, confident, thrive under pressure and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

On the job training provided and wages, entitlements and penalties paid under the Waste Management Award.

The position is available immediately.
