About the Chance

As the Housekeeping Team Leader, your primary focus will be providing efficient management and coordination of the cleaning and laundry operations, ensuring a safe, high-quality cleaning and laundry service to our residents in compliance with legislative requirements.

This is a hands-on position that requires you to lead from the front.

- Directing and supervising staff in their duties
- Rostering and replacing staff when absent
- Ensuring staff are competent to use machinery required for their position
- Ensuring that cleaning of residents' rooms and public areas meets the standards and infection control
- Ensuring that laundry services are conducted in a safe and efficient way that meets the needs of the site and residents
- Reporting any evidence of pest infestation and breakdown in equipment or standards
- Responsible for managing and working within budgets for cleaning & laundry
- Manage the ordering, delivery, stock control and storage processes

Working hours Monday to Friday 8:00 -16:00

About you

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

- Experience in housekeeping




- Demonstrated experience in positive staff motivation and enhancement of performance of teams
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
- Highly motivated and able to take initiative
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times
- Understanding of the Residents' Charter of Rights, highly desirable
- Understanding of the Standards and Guidelines for Residential Aged Care Services, highly desirable
