Where you’ll be working
As part of an established paediatric department within a major tertiary teaching hospital, you will deliver comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and outreach care across general paediatrics and adolescent health. The facility encompasses a dedicated paediatric ward with high dependency care, a dedicated adolescent unit, and access to state-level neonatal and paediatric intensive care capabilities. You will participate in a manageable general paediatric on-call roster (approximately 1:5) and a business-hours adolescent inpatient roster. Working alongside supportive colleagues, you will benefit from strong peer networks while actively supervising trainees, residents, and medical students across clinical and academic settings.

Salary
Base salary ranges from $222,789 to $319,701 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. Additional benefits include a motor vehicle allowance of $30,254 per annum, a 35% private patient scheme allowance, a $17,483 continuing career development allowance, salary packaging, and relocation support. The estimated total package ranges between $374,000 and $517,000 per annum depending on experience and progression through senior specialist criteria.

Requirements

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent.
- Paediatricians eligible for the fast-track registration pathway are encouraged to apply.
