Join the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NSW's planning system. As Team Leader Policy, you will lead the development, review and implementation of planning policies, legislation and reform initiatives that support a more efficient, transparent and effective planning framework. Working within the Planning Systems Reform team, you will provide expert policy advice, prepare high-quality reports and recommendations, and drive innovative solutions that improve planning assessment processes and deliver better outcomes for communities, industry and government.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, industry representatives, developers, consultants and community stakeholders,
using your exceptional communication and negotiation skills to navigate competing priorities and achieve consensus on key planning reforms. You will identify emerging issues, lead policy reviews and contribute to initiatives that reduce assessment timeframes while maintaining the integrity and quality of planning decisions.
Bring your demonstrated experience in planning policy, legislation and assessment processes, along with strong leadership and project management capabilities. You will be skilled in leading and developing teams, influencing stakeholders, solving complex problems and delivering results in high-pressure environments. A degree in planning, environmental management, engineering or a related discipline is essential.
