Senior Accountant | Competitive Salary Package

This is an excellent opportunity for a public practice accountant who wants to continue developing their technical, advisory and client management skills while working with a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services across a diverse client portfolio.

- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Preparing and reviewing high-quality working papers.
- Providing taxation advice across GST, CGT and FBT.
- Preparing and analysing management accounting reports.
- Assisting with complex accounting and taxation matters.
- Developing a strong understanding of clients' businesses and industries.
- Providing practical business advisory and taxation support.
- Assisting Partners and Managers with client meetings and engagements.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Mentoring and supporting graduates and junior accountants.
- Researching and resolving technical accounting and taxation issues.
- Contributing to process improvements and increased productivity.

Ideally, you’ll have

- Strong public practice accounting experience.
- Bachelor of Business or Commerce with an Accounting major.
- CA or CPA qualification, or currently working towards completion.




- Strong financial statement and tax return preparation experience.
- Excellent technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
- Experience with Xero, MYOB and/or QuickBooks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior accountants.
- Strong commitment to professional development.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and technology.
- An interest in developing further across accounting, tax and advisory.
