We are currently seeking an experienced S26 Civil Supervisor to join a BHP CD4 Shutdown in Port Hedland, commencing 1 September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Supervisor with a strong civil construction background who is comfortable working within a Tier One mining workplace and delivering works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

- Position: S26 Civil Supervisor
- Location: Port Hedland, WA
- Start Date: 1 September 2026
- Finish Date: 21 October 2026
- Roster: 2:1 FIFO
- Hours: 12-hour days
- Rate: $95 - $100 per hour + super
- Pay: Weekly
- Travel: Tuesday AM fly-in, straight to work; PM fly-out
- Duration: Approximately 2.5 full swings
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities across the shutdown.
- Lead and manage civil crews, subcontractors and site resources.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
- Monitor daily productivity, quality and progress against schedule.
- Coordinate works with other trades, site teams and project stakeholders.
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and daily site coordination.
- Ensure all works comply with BHP standards, site procedures and relevant legislation.
- Identify and manage site hazards and ensure effective risk controls are implemented.
- Review drawings,
specifications and work scopes to ensure civil works are delivered correctly.
- Maintain accurate daily reporting and relevant site documentation.
- Provide clear communication between the workforce, project management and client representatives.
- Drive a strong safety culture and lead by example in a high-risk mining environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current BHP induction – mandatory.
- Must have successfully completed the S26 exam – mandatory.
- Previous experience as a Civil Supervisor within mining or major civil construction projects.
- Strong civil construction experience, with a sound understanding of civil works, earthworks and site activities.
- Previous experience working within a Tier One contractor/client environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate crews in a fast-paced shutdown environment.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and trades.
- Availability to commence 1 September 2026 and commit to the full shutdown duration.
