Working as part of a collaborative and rapid-paced team, you'll contribute to a nationally significant initiative, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications, while engaging with a diverse range of industry, community and government stakeholders.
Your new role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced communications professional who enjoys blending strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and policy support. Working within a dedicated project team, you'll help deliver communications and engagement activities that support a major national strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and updating communication products including web content, digital stories, stakeholder communications and social media content.
- Supporting stakeholder engagement activities across government, industry and community groups.
- Managing communication channels, project inboxes and stakeholder databases.
- Preparing briefings, reports, correspondence, speeches and executive materials.
- Coordinating meetings, workshops and engagement activities, including secretariat support.
- Assisting with research, analysis and policy development activities.
- Monitoring project milestones, deliverables and reporting requirements.
- Supporting quality assurance across project documentation and communication materials.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in Federal Government strategic communications, stakeholder engagement or public affairs.
- Baseline security clearance is required.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
- Experience producing digital, web and stakeholder communication materials.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Previous experience within government or complex stakeholder environments will be highly regarded.
