Bayside Council currently operates two Aquatic Centres, Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre (Bexley) and Botany Aquatic Centre (Botany). Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre is a contemporary facility that includes an indoor and outdoor pool, grandstand, gym and group fitness spaces, kiosk, and aqua play facilities. Botany Aquatic is a seasonal operation (Sept - April) with 50m,22m and toddler outdoor heated pools, picnic, and function facilities. Botany Aquatic will close at the end of April 2024 to undergo a major redevelopment.

About the role

As a Customer Service Officer/Kiosk Attendant, you will provide front line service to customers seeking information about and access to, Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre. You'll play a key role in the active sale and retention of Centre programs and retail, helping to maximise customer retention, optimise facility usage and support a positive experience for every patron who walks through our doors.

You can also expect to:

- Guide and direct patrons and new service users to safely access and use the Aquatic Centre facilities
- Provide accurate information on entry fees,



memberships, programs and events
- Be the first point of contact to resolve customer issues and maximise satisfaction
- Process transactions through the point-of-sale system and complete accurate reconciliations
- Coordinate sales activities and tours for new and prospective members
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items in the kiosk in line with food safety standards
- Assist with opening and closing of the Centre, cash handling and general presentation

About you

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

- Excellent customer service skills and experience
- A current Food Handling Certificate recognised in NSW
- A current First Aid and CPR qualification
- A current Working with Children Check (NSW)
- Flexibility to work varying shifts between 5am and 9pm, seven days a week, based on operational needs

Closing date: Monday, 7 September 2026.

Salary: $32.97 to $36.93 per hour, plus 25% casual loading, plus superannuation.

Applicants will be required to satisfactorily undertake a Criminal History Check, Medical and/or Working with Children check in accordance with the position.
