About the role and where you will be working

Join the John Hunter Hospital Physiotherapy Department and become part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality physiotherapy across John Hunter Hospital, Rankin Park Centre and Belmont District Hospital, with opportunities for secondments to John Hunter Children’s Hospital and regional and rural sites across HNELHD.

We’re building a talent pool for current and future opportunities, with positions available across a range of services and settings. Successful candidates may be offered temporary full-time, temporary part-time or casual employment, depending on service needs.

You may also have the opportunity to participate in the JHH Physiotherapy rotational and secondment program, broadening your clinical experience and skills across a range of settings.

Depending on the role, you may be required to participate in weekend, on-call or public holiday rosters.

About you

We’re looking for agile, motivated and flexible Physiotherapists who are passionate about delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.

You’ll bring strong communication, organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team across JHH, RPC and BDH.

For Level 1/2 Physiotherapists, you’ll be supported through a comprehensive training and competency program,



working alongside experienced senior Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants. Ongoing education, professional development and research opportunities are strongly encouraged.

Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA

Recent experience working as a Physiotherapist in an acute hospital setting and a demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, set priorities and apply a range of options to develop solutions to ensure patient centred care. This includes demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice and innovation

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain co-operative professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
