In this role, you will provide database expertise across core Oracle database administration, coding, scripting and database patching and automation. You will be responsible for maintaining the availability, performance, security, and reliability of Oracle database environments, while driving automation and operational improvements across database and infrastructure management as directed.

NOTE: On Demand roles can vary from 1 to 5 days a week and 4 to 8 hours a day. Please only apply if you are seeking a flexible work arrangement.

Demonstrated skills and experience.

- Administer and support Oracle databases across development, test, and production environments.

- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.

- Manage Oracle database health, capacity, availability, security, and troubleshooting.

- Work closely with Linux/Unix system administration teams on operating system, storage, networking, and infrastructure issues.





- Develop and maintain Shell/Bash, SQL, PL/SQL, and other automation scripts to streamline DBA and system administration activities.

- Plan, coordinate, and execute Oracle database patching and upgrades.

- Develop and maintain automated patching and deployment processes, reducing manual intervention and operational risk.

- Automate routine DBA tasks such as health checks, monitoring, validation, backups, patch verification, and environment provisioning.

- Troubleshoot complex database, operating system, and application-related issues.

- Support high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.

- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and automation standards.

- Participate in on-call and production support activities as required.

- Identify opportunities to improve database reliability, security, performance, and operational efficiency
