The Wealth Connection
Canberra
- Join an established and growing boutique financial planning business
- Support a team of experienced Financial Advisers in our Canberra office
- Work directly with clients while being supported by a dedicated administration team
- Financial planning experience preferred, with paraplanning experience highly regarded
Your New Company
The Wealth Connection is an established boutique financial services firm providing personalised Financial Advice, Lending Solutions, and Wealth and Risk Protection to a select group of clients.
Having operated successfully for 12 years, we now have offices in Canberra, Milton and Austinmer and continue to grow our team and client base. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality advice and building long-term relationships with our clients.
We have invested heavily in building an experienced support team, productive advice processes and a tailored CRM designed around the way our business operates. This allows our Client Relationship Managers to spend more time working with advisers and clients, while having administrative support for paperwork, data entry and implementation tasks.
Your New Role
We are looking for an experienced Client Relationship Manager, ideally with some paraplanning experience, to work closely with and support a team of Financial Advisers in our Canberra office.
This is a hands-on role covering the full advice process—from preparing for client meetings and managing follow-up actions through to assisting with strategy development, preparing advice documents, coordinating implementation and maintaining ongoing client relationships. For someone with paraplanning experience, the role will include paraplanning responsibilities from the outset, with the opportunity to develop this further as part of the day-to-day position.
You will be supported by a dedicated administration team that assists with paperwork, data entry and processing. You will work closely with this team, providing instructions, reviewing progress and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting advisers with the preparation and coordination of client meetings and annual reviews
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and managing their day-to-day needs
- Preparing meeting files, review information and supporting documentation
- Managing client workflows and follow-up actions through our tailored CRM
- Coordinating paperwork, data entry and implementation tasks with our administration team
- Providing clear instructions and ensuring work progresses through to completion
- Reviewing documentation for accuracy before it is provided to advisers or clients
- Liaising with superannuation funds, investment platforms, insurers, accountants and other professionals
- Assisting advisers with strategy development and the implementation of financial advice
- Preparing advice documents and undertaking paraplanning responsibilities where experience allows
- Working closely with our broader advice, paraplanning, administration and operations teams across all three offices
What You’ll Need to Succeed
This role would suit someone with experience in financial planning administration, client services, paraplanning or a similar position who is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships and the advice process.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience within a financial planning or wealth management business
- Understands the financial advice process from initial strategy through to implementation and ongoing review
- Communicates confidently and professionally with clients
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in completing work properly
- Is organised and able to manage competing priorities across a busy advisory team
- Can work effectively with an administration team while remaining accountable for the overall client outcome
- Takes ownership, follows matters through and uses initiative
- Contributes positively to a collaborative team environment
Paraplanning experience would be highly regarded, as we intend to incorporate an increasing level of strategy and advice-document preparation into the position. Relevant financial planning qualifications would also be beneficial but are not essential where there is strong practical industry experience.
This is not intended to be a graduate-level position. We are looking for someone who can bring existing financial planning experience to the role while continuing to develop their technical and professional skills.
What You’ll Get in Return
You will join a supportive and growing business where your experience will be valued and you will have the opportunity to make the role your own.
You’ll benefit from:
- Dedicated administrative support for paperwork, data entry and processing
- Efficient systems and a tailored CRM designed around our advice process
- A varied position with genuine client contact and responsibility
- The opportunity to expand your paraplanning and technical skills
- Regular salary reviews as your role and responsibilities develop
- Flexible working arrangements, subject to business and client needs
- A modern and professional environment in a light-filled boutique office in an unbeatable Canberra location
- A supportive team focused on high-quality advice and long-term client relationships
- Opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression
