About the role
The Quality Control Team Member reports to the QA Manager and is responsible for maintaining quality systems, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and GMP requirements in a food manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintenance of Quality systems documentation
- Staff training on current procedures, product quality checks, hygiene and GMP requirements
- Online CCP (Cl2, pH, Metal detection etc.) and QCP (labelling) monitoring
- Online product quality checks during production to verify compliance against customer specification
- Shelf life evaluation of the finished product
- Raw material evaluation during cold room storage to verify compliance against receival spec.
- Cleaning verification checks prior to start of production
- Chemical level checks (Foot Dip, Chlorine and MBS)
- Inspection of the packaged finished product for quality requirements
- Internal auditing of process and procedures
About you
- Minimum three to five years' experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Demonstratable experience in Quality Assurance principles, standards, and systems
- Understanding of HACCP based quality System
- Experience in QA food manufacturing preferably Fresh produce
- GMP knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Attention to detail
- Works calmly under pressure
- Clear and concise decision maker
- Qualifications as an Internal Auditor (desirable)
