Minor Works & Maintenance Manager – Industrial & Infrastructure

Brisbane Southside | Full-time | Electrical / Industrial / Infrastructure

Lead an established electrical team across industrial, infrastructure and minor project works.

Brimar is looking for an experienced electrical leader to take responsibility for our Industrial & Infrastructure Minor Works & Maintenance team.

This isn't a traditional reactive service manager role.

Our team works predominantly across planned electrical maintenance, infrastructure works and minor projects, supporting industrial facilities, infrastructure assets, road networks, port-side environments, production sites and solar installations.

We are looking for someone who can lead people, coordinate work, build solid client relationships and take ownership of the performance and forward workload of the team.

You may already be managing a similar electrical operation, or you may be an experienced Electrical Supervisor, Project Supervisor or Project Leader ready for broader responsibility. What matters most is your ability to lead a team, take ownership and deliver outcomes.

The Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Minor Works & Maintenance team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and supporting a team of electricians and apprentices

- Planning and coordinating labour across maintenance, infrastructure and minor project works

- Managing scheduling, workflow and job delivery

- Conducting site inspections and developing scopes of work

- Preparing and reviewing quotations

- Working closely with our estimating resource

- Managing variations, procurement and job-level cost performance

- Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients

- Following up quotations and identifying opportunities for repeat and additional work

- Maintaining visibility of forward workload and proactively addressing gaps

- Managing subcontractors and labour hire when required

- Driving accountability, safety and professional standards across the team

- Improving systems and processes as the division continues to develop

This is an operational leadership role where you will remain connected to the work, clients and field team while taking responsibility for the overall performance of the team.

Who We're Looking For

You'll be a trade-qualified Electrician with experience in industrial and/or infrastructure environments.

We're looking for someone who:

- Has experience leading, coordinating or managing electrical field teams

- Takes ownership of team and project outcomes

- Communicates confidently and builds strong relationships with clients

- Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities

- Understands labour utilisation, job costs and commercial outcomes

- Has experience scoping, quoting or delivering electrical works

- Can identify upcoming workload requirements and actively pursue opportunities

- Sets clear expectations and holds themselves and their team accountable for delivery

Experience with Simpro or similar job management software would be beneficial.

Experience across ports, road networks, utilities, industrial facilities or other regulated infrastructure environments would also be highly regarded.

Experience Matters. So Does Capability.

There isn't one specific career path we're looking for.

You may already be successfully managing a maintenance, service, minor works or electrical projects team and be looking for a new environment where you can have genuine ownership and influence.

Alternatively, you may be an experienced supervisor or project leader who has already demonstrated the leadership, technical capability and accountability required to take on broader operational responsibility.

For candidates developing into the management aspects of the position, Brimar will support the continued development of commercial, financial and leadership capability.
