We’re looking for a compassionate, reliable and emotionally intelligent support worker to support a woman with complex psychosocial disability, CPTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder, initially on Mondays and Fridays.

This role would suit someone who enjoys building genuine long-term relationships and understands the importance of consistency, trust and trauma-informed practice. We are searching for a dedicated, caring and skillful team who will be able to support this member throughout the week from 8am-8pm

There will also be the option to pick up covers/short notice cancellation supports

The position would ideally suit someone who is resilient, patient, a strong communicator, and can stay calm during challenging situations. We are looking for people who are interested in making a difference, consistent, reliable and can commit to providing quality support. You will have had experience in, and be able to demonstrate, a proactive and engaging style of support, display initiative and have excellent communication capability. You are open to learning and using an existing planning and organisational system that forms part of the Member's daily routines.

You will need to be someone who works well under pressure and who also has the ability to follow a plan and maintain boundaries.



You will have the opportunity to learn and work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support and Psychology.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with disability support and trauma informed care. You are outgoing and have a natural ability to think quickly and clearly in complex situations. You will have a calm nature, be someone who works well under pressure and who also has the ability to follow a plan. The most important quality is kindness, consistency and a genuine commitment to supporting someone on their recovery journey. All new support workers will be provided with an extended, person-centred orientation and mentor arrangement.

· Understanding of professional boundaries and privacy and confidentiality issues

· Reliable

· A proactive approach to the safety and well-being of yourself and Members

· NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to provide prior to commencing employment)

· NDIS Module (or willingness to obtain)

· Australian Drivers License with no restrictions and your own vehicle
