About the role

Impact Personnel is seeking a dedicated and organised Purchasing Officer/Storeman to join our team at our client in Wangara. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our purchasing operations and warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient procurement processes, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting our warehouse and distribution operations. This role is essential to keeping our supply chain running smoothly and ensuring we meet our operational demands.

Key responsibilities

- Processing purchase orders and managing vendor communications to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials

- Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock counts to ensure accuracy and accountability

- Coordinating with warehouse & fleet staff to organise and store received goods in the correct locations

- Monitoring stock levels and identifying items requiring reordering to prevent shortages

- Liaising with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and quality concerns

- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement and stores management

- Assisting in the management of the warehouse to optimise storage and retrieval processes





- Supporting cost reduction initiatives by identifying opportunities for improved purchasing efficiency

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a purchasing, procurement, or stores environment within warehousing or logistics

- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

- Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers

- Attention to detail

- Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a team workplace

- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

- Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or warehouse management (desirable)

- Electrical wholesale knowledge and experience will be highly regarded
