Morwell | Permanent Part Time

35 hours per week | Band 5A: $40.89 per hour

We're looking for a Gallery Operations Supervisor to join our Creative Venues & Libraries team at Latrobe Regional Gallery. In this role, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of one of Gippsland's leading cultural venues, creating exceptional visitor experiences while helping shape the Gallery's future growth and community impact.

What You'll be Doing

- Leading and supporting the Customer Service Officer team to deliver outstanding visitor experiences across all Gallery front-of-house operations
- Coordinating public program bd event delivery, venue hire activities,



building operations, retail operations and customer service functions to ensure the Gallery runs smoothly and professionally
- Working with Council's marketing team to promote exhibitions, events, memberships, venue hire opportunities and Gallery programs
- Collecting and interpreting operational data to support continuous improvement and informed decision making
- Building positive relationships with artists, visitors, community groups, venue hirers and tourism partners
- Contributing to the ongoing success and growth of Latrobe Regional Gallery as a valued cultural destination for the community

About You

You are a people-focused leader who enjoys creating welcoming experiences and bringing out the best in others. You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy balancing operational responsibilities with customer engagement, and are excited by the opportunity to contribute to the cultural life of the Gippsland community.

You bring experience leading teams, coordinating operations and building positive stakeholder relationships. You are organised, adaptable and confident working across a variety of functions, from customer service and venue operations through to marketing and promotional activities.

Key Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a customer service or front-of-house team in a gallery, museum, arts, cultural or similar public-facing environment
- Experience coordinating venue operations, bookings,



events or front-of-house activities while maintaining a high standard of customer service
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage professionally with visitors, artists, hirers, community members and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and contribute to continuous improvement within a rapid-paced environment
