A growing Integrated Financial Advisory Business in Sydney CBD is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its collaborative and supportive team.

The Opportunity

Senior Accountant $110,000 - $130,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a CA/CPA qualified accountant who is ready to take ownership of their career, build strong client relationships and continue developing their technical, commercial and advisory skills.

Key responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of client work while operating with a high level of independence and responsibility.

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Preparing and reviewing BAS and activity statements, including GST.
- Providing tax planning and advisory support to clients.
- Working across CGT and small business CGT concessions.
- Applying knowledge of Division 7A, PSI and non-commercial loss provisions.
- Understanding different entity structures and their tax implications.
- Researching and resolving technical accounting and taxation matters.
- Identifying risks and opportunities within client work.
- Building and maintaining robust client relationships.
- Reviewing work and mentoring and supporting junior accountants.
- Contributing to improvements across systems, processes and technology.
- Managing workflow, deadlines and client expectations.

Ideally, you’ll have

- CA or CPA qualification, or be actively working towards their qualification.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar public practice role.
- Strong business services and taxation experience.




- Excellent knowledge of financial statements and income tax returns.
- Strong technical understanding of CGT, Division 7A, GST and tax planning.
- Experience working across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in technology, automation and continuous improvement.
