About the Role

As a Christmas Casual Retail Team Member, you will be an important part of our team during one of the busiest and most exciting times of the retail year.

This is a hands-on retail position where every day is different. You will assist customers with their Christmas shopping, provide product advice, maintain high standards of store presentation and support the team during the busy Christmas and summer trading period.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming and assisting customers with friendly and helpful service

- Helping customers find the right sporting equipment, footwear and apparel

- Providing footwear fitting and sizing assistance

- Recommending products that best meet customers' needs

- Processing sales transactions accurately through the point of sale system

- Replenishing stock, merchandising displays and ticketing products

- Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing store

- Supporting Christmas promotions, catalogue launches and seasonal campaigns

- Assisting with online order fulfilment and Click & Collect orders

- Working collaboratively with the team to deliver a great customer experience

- Assisting with general store operations as required

About You

To be successful in this role you will:





- Enjoy providing outstanding customer service

- Be friendly, approachable and confident communicating with customers

- Bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn

- Be reliable, motivated and have a strong work ethic

- Enjoy working as part of a team

- Be comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced retail environment

- Have previous retail experience, which will be highly regarded but is not essential

- Have an interest in sport and an active lifestyle, which will be viewed favourably

- Have flexibility to work across the Christmas and summer trading period, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required

Christmas Availability

As Christmas is one of our busiest trading periods, we are looking for team members who can offer flexibility and availability during November, December and January, including weekends and the period leading up to Christmas.

Christmas Casual Employment

This position is being offered as casual employment to support SportsPower Colonnades during the Christmas and summer trading period.

As a casual employee, hours will be offered according to the operational requirements of the store and your availability. There is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours each week.

While there may be opportunities for ongoing casual employment following the Christmas period, this will depend on the operational requirements of the store and individual performance. Ongoing employment or hours beyond the Christmas casual period are not guaranteed.
