We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our busy bulk-billed family practice in Toongabbie for 3-5 days a week. We are looking for a receptionist with prior experience in a medical centre.

About the Role:

- Flexible position: part-time or casual hours available

- Practice hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and Saturdays, 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

- Using Best Practice (BP) software for patient bookings and clinical management

- Processing Medicare, private, and WorkCover billings, including EFTPOS and HICAPS transactions.

- Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to provide exceptional patient care

- Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone with professionalism and empathy

Key Responsibilities:

- Greeting and registering patients on arrival

- Managing phone calls, appointments, and patient enquiries





- Processing payments and Medicare/HICAPS claims

- Scanning and filing medical documents accurately

- Maintaining the cleanliness of the waiting area and consultation rooms

- Supporting doctors with administrative and operational tasks

- Ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

- Prior medical reception experience essential

- Experience using Best Practice (BP) or similar clinical software (highly regarded)

- Excellent communication and time management skills

- Solid attention to detail

- Ability to multitask in a busy environment

- Professional presentation and a positive, team-oriented attitude

- Proficiency in email and fax management
