The Opportunity

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will apply your electrical expertise to support the ongoing reliability and performance of our specialised cheese manufacturing, whey processing, and packing equipment. Working in a dynamic production environment, you will adapt to changing priorities while planning and executing preventative maintenance activities that minimise downtime and optimise plant performance.

As a valued member of the Maintenance Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient workplace, with a focus on health and safety, equipment reliability, and maintenance best practices.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying ways to enhance equipment performance,



increase operational efficiency, and support the site's advanced automated technology. Your ability to think proactively and deliver practical solutions will be highly valued.

You will also be responsible for responding to equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting faults, and carrying out repairs to minimise production disruptions. Additional responsibilities will include instrumentation work, maintaining PLC-controlled equipment and motors, and developing or updating standard operating procedures.

Operating within a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment, this is an excellent chance to join a close-knit technical team where you can further develop your skills while making a meaningful contribution to site operations.

We have two exciting opportunities available:

- Permanent Day Shift
- Rotating Shift Pattern: 4 x day rolling roster = 2 days, 2 nights and 4 off.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will hold a current A-Grade Electrical Licence and Instrumentation Endorsed. We can provide assistance for additional training where required. The role will also bring a hands-on approach to maintenance within an industrial manufacturing workplace.

The following skills and experience will be highly regarded:

- Well-developed diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities,



with experience responding to equipment breakdowns and identifying effective solutions.
- Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), with MEX experience viewed favourably.
- Exposure to fast-paced manufacturing, packaging, or highly automated production environments.
- Understanding of Integrated Work Systems (IWS), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within the dairy, food, agricultural, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industries.
- Experience performing equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and root cause failure analysis within an industrial setting.
- Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and instrumentation systems is highly regarded.
