The Opportunity

As the Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing planned maintenance activities, managing break-in work, and ensuring maintenance resources are effectively allocated across the site. Working closely with the Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting equipment reliability, operational performance, and the daily leadership of the Maintenance team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating daily maintenance activities by allocating work to fitters, electricians, and contractors, monitoring progress, and providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
- Planning and coordinating preventative maintenance and shutdown activities, ensuring work orders are appropriately scoped, required parts and tools are available, and maintenance activities are completed efficiently with minimal operational disruption.




- Promoting a safe and compliant work environment through active participation in health, safety, and environmental initiatives, communication of key safety learnings, and support for incident investigations and action management.
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational efficiency while contributing to cost optimisation initiatives.
- Acting as a key leader and owner of relevant Integrated Work Systems (IWS) processes and standards.
- Supporting team development by mentoring apprentices and team members, sharing technical knowledge, and following up on work quality to ensure maintenance standards are consistently achieved.
- Building effective relationships with production, engineering, and site stakeholders to support maintenance priorities and plant performance.

About you

You are an experienced maintenance professional who leads by example, fosters a positive safety culture, and delivers results through effective leadership, structured processes, and continuous improvement.

- Experience leading maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment, ideally in food, dairy, or other FMCG industries.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and maintenance management systems,



with MEX experience considered advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, quality, food safety, and environmental standards, with the ability to promote accountability across teams.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, coach, and influence team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands, manage change, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience developing team capability, encouraging ownership, and driving a culture of reliability, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across maintenance, production, and site leadership teams to achieve operational goals.
- Trade qualified in an electrical or mechanical discipline, with an engineering qualification viewed favourably.
