Competition Administrator

Brisbane | Part-time Fixed-Term Contract

September 2026 to March 2027 | 25 hours per week

Queensland Cricket is seeking a highly organised and relationship-focused

Competition Administrator to support the delivery of community cricket competitions across the Metro and Wide Bay regions.

About the Role

As Competition Administrator, you will play a key role in coordinating and administering cricket competitions across the region. Working closely with clubs, associations, volunteers, and Queensland Cricket staff, you will help ensure competitions are professionally managed, well supported, and aligned with Cricket Australia's competition and pathway frameworks.

You will become a trusted point of contact for clubs and stakeholders, providing support, guidance, and education relating to competition management and PlayHQ.

This is a fixed-term, part-time position commencing in September 2026 and running through to March 2027, concluding during Easter week. The role is contracted for 25 hours per week and will require flexibility to support competitions outside standard business hours, including regular weekend work during the cricket season.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing community cricket competitions through PlayHQ, including season setup, team nominations, fixtures, draws, ladder administration, and player eligibility





- Coordinating competition communications and ensuring key deadlines are met

- Managing ground allocations, weather-related updates, results, and competition disputes

- Maintaining accurate competition data, reporting, and registration processes

- Building strong relationships with clubs, associations, volunteers, and community stakeholders

- Assisting with the development and implementation of competition policies and procedures

- Coordinating forums, workshops, and education opportunities for clubs and volunteers

- Chairing competition meetings and acting as a key liaison between stakeholders and Queensland Cricket

About You

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Experience in sport administration, community sport, or a related field

- Strong organisational and time-management skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- A customer-focused approach with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to support clubs and volunteers

- Experience with PlayHQ is highly regarded but not essential

Essential Requirements

- Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)

- Current driver's licence





- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
