ARKIE Early Education Five Dock is seeking passionate Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educators to join the Nursery team. These are full-time positions working 4 days per week on 10-hour shifts. The service operates between 7:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Two positions are available: Nursery Room Leader and Assistant Nursery Diploma Educator, both working with children aged 6 weeks to 2 years.
Key responsibilities
Provide exceptional care, learning and nurturing relationships for children aged 6 weeks to 2 years
Lead or support the nursery team (Room Leader role)
Demonstrate understanding of the EYLF, programming, documentation and children's individual learning needs
Mentor, guide and support educators within the room (Room Leader role)
Maintain high standards of health, safety, compliance and child protection
Build genuine relationships with families through excellent communication
Create a calm, engaging and secure nursery setting
Support children's learning, development and wellbeing
About you
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (required)
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in Early Childhood Education with strong nursery/birth–2 experience (Room Leader); or minimum of 18 months' full-time Early Childhood experience (Assistant Educator)
Experience working with children from birth to 2 years
Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Current Child First Aid
Current CPR
Current Child Protection training
Current GECKO training
Warm, responsive and nurturing approach to babies and toddlers
Solid teamwork and communication skills
Genuine passion for working with babies and young children
